Utah has a unique voting process compared to most other states of the Unites States. We use a caucus system, which breaks down each neighborhood in Utah into a Precinct. Each Precinct meets every 2 years, and selects leadership for the Precinct (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and/or Treasurer).

Each Precinct also selects delegates to represent the Precinct at the Republican County Convection (in our case, the Washington County Republican Convention) and the Utah State Republican Convention.

The year of the caucus meeting, the County and State Conventions are nominating conventions. The off years are organizing conventions.
